The two-day convention Trade Facilitation Fair will bring together different stakeholders to exchange, demonstrate and understand models and processes to replicate sustainable livelihoods through decentralized and renewable energy and encourage opportunities for disadvantaged communities. This trade facilitation program shall be a platform for livelihood technology providers from across India and Clean Energy solution providers within North-East to showcase their products.

But with growing vulnerability to climate change, agriculture also needs to upgrade to ensure better, holistic and sustainable practices are built in a grounds up manner. Undoubtedly, there is a role of energy and technology in creating such an agricultural revolution. The panel will present examples of how and where does energy access present opportunities in catalyzing the rest of the agricultural ecosystem, and what are the barriers in scaling such solutions.

Many recognize unlocking long term, asset-based financing as the one critical piece that can trigger all the remaining parts of the ecosystem required to scale energy livelihood interventions- end-user financing, enterprise financing, etc. North East, with its difficult terrain and immature financial infrastructure, presents opportunities to innovate upon financial products and finance delivery mechanisms which can set an example for many other parts of the world. With the viability of energy-livelihood interventions proven what else does it take to actually unlock financing for such interventions.
